Romacorp® Hits the Ground Running in 2019 with New Partnership and Upcoming Plans for Expansion
With The Assistance Of Multi-brand Company Beer & Food, Tony Roma’s Will Continue To Bring Its World-famous Ribs Throughout Europe
February 06, 2019 // Franchising.com // ORLANDO, Fla. - Romacorp, Inc., the parent company of Tony Roma’s® announces its new partnership with multi-brand company, Beer & Food, who took control as the master franchisee for Spain-based restaurants in 2018. The company, led by Sergio Rivas as Chief Executive Officer, opened nine Tony Roma’s in the past year, bringing a total of 33 locations throughout Spain. The partnership launched in February of 2018, with a final agreement completed in December. Both Beer & Food and Romacorp have seen tremendous brand growth throughout Spain since this recent partnership.
“This operation is perfectly aligned with our ever-growing plan of expansion,” said Beer & Food CEO Sergio Rivas. “Tony Roma’s has prestige recognition internationally and will allow our restaurant business to grow in France and Portugal in the future as well.”
The Tony Roma’s partnership accomplishes phase one of Beer & Food’s plan to expand into one of Southern Europe’s largest restaurant operators. The company plans to develop one hundred Tony Roma’s throughout the next seven to eight years with both sub-franchised units and corporate stores, and to introduce the brand to France and Portugal.
Beer & Food’s brought Tony Roma’s world-famous ribs to the Plaza Norte Shopping Center in Madrid on Dec. 28, 2018 as its latest restaurant opening. Located among the beautiful scenery of Madrid, the new Tony Roma’s is open Sunday through Thursday from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m., with extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Guests can choose to dine indoors or outdoors at this location. Live entertainment is also featured at this Tony Roma’s for those looking to indulge in some artistry with their meal.
